Ginza Koyama daily journal 2022.09.07 Koyama Group Basic Management Course

Koyama group has many workshops, seminars, and study groups.

There are also two academic conferences, one for nursing care and one for building equipment.

Among them, there is a basic management course that I always am the main lecturer.

Koyama Group’s middle-ranking executives in their 30s and 40s.

Many newcomers are listening to my lectures for the first time.

Due to the coronavirus, the seminar was held Zoom at the seminar studio at Ginza Headquarters.

With a wall of liquid crystal panels, even in a large group, faces can be clearly seen.

But I don’t hear little murmurs, coughs, or sighs.

In fact, such small reactions and the subtleties of human expression are important.

I pay attention to those slight facial expressions, the downward tilt of the face, the movements of the shoulders, the movements of the eyelids.

To know the movement of the person’s heart.

On the net screen, it looks like a portrait from the front, and I can’t read the emotions.

Think of it as an online lecture.

Next year, Koyama Group will celebrate its 40th anniversary.

In response to a request regarding the time when the company was founded, I talked about the hardships I had at that time.

I talked about what I remembered, about the painful and harsh history of management that I never want to experience again.

During those times, I was prepared to declare for bankruptcy on at least three occasions.

It was luck and the hard work of the on-site staff that made us overcome that.

The next young generation doesn’t need to experience the hard work as I once did.

That’s why I’m still working hard at my current job.

The future collapse of the nursing care and childcare bubble will be Koyama’s chance to make the next leap forward, and it will be an opportunity for young executives to grow.

It’s time to move forward in the storm.

The basic stance of a manager is courage and sincerity.

It can only be embodied by people with a sense of responsibility and love.

Those who are sincere and courageous, come to my gate.

I’ll be waiting for you anytime.
