Ginza Koyama daily journal 2022.07.08 Reunion at Mt.Fuji

It been a while since I visited the facilities around Mt. Fuji.

It`s been 25 years since I directed the design of a long-term care health facility.

When from the entrance, you can see the office through the glass.

There is a skylight and the light shines through.

There is a bright courtyard all way in the back.

In the left direction there is a big daycare center.

In the right direction a rehabilitation center.

A design like a resort hotel, an open design with a panoramic view of the entire ground floor.

Yes, you can serve meals from the kitchen over a large counter.

From the rooftop, you can overlook Suruga Bay and Mt. Fuji.

Unfortunately, it was cloudy so I couldn’t see Mt. Fuji at all.

Next door is a group home.

The name is called “neighbor”.

Of course, I didn’t name it.

The staff was particular about the name.

I remembered ridiculing whether the next group home to be created would be named “mother”(okaasan).

The entrance is stylish, and at that time it didn’t seem like a long-term care facility.

At that moment in time, though.

A nearby day service is like an Italian restaurant with a one-story open kitchen.

At the time of opening, I was thinking that if I didn’t have a business and I couldn’t make a profit, I would switch it into a cafe.

The ceiling is high, and the office is on the middle of the second floor, overlooking the day service.

The interior is designed to look better in a restaurant.

Nostalgic, nostalgic.

25 years ago, sense of my design was complete.

It is said it is same as a writers first book.

The same goes for building facilities.

In a time of negative measures, we built a facility full of enthusiasm.

At that time, I was working hard.

I was young.

At that time, many of the hired graduates has become facility managers.

I had a dinner with all of them.

When I recall the past workshop from that time, I was deeply moved.

I am getting old with white hair.

Even in the cloudy sky, I can see Mt. Fuji.

Anytime. Anywhere, even now.
