Ginza Koyama Daily Journal 2022.06.22 The future of driving schools

I didn’t get a license at a public certified driving school.

I practiced a little at an unlicensed driving school and got it at a testing laboratory.

However, I failed the test about 5 times and retook it many times.

The reason is, that I used the driving school tuition fee that my parents gave me on a trip instead.

It was said, at that time that it was easy to acquire a driving license on an island or in a foreign country.

Because if it’s an island, it’s easy because the test is on the road around the island.

I wonder if it is true.

I think there was also talk about of getting a driver’s license together with a sightseeing trip in Hawaii, like a set.

However, it was said due to it being right-traffic, and Japan is the opposite driving in Japan is prone to accidents.

If so, should I go to the UK, which is also left-traffic.

In the present, the UK is using world-wide right vehicle rule.

Maybe the import barrier that made it difficult for Japan to import foreign cars had an impact.

For quite some time, the number of people getting a driver’s license has decreased.

Compared to foreign countries examinations in Japan are quite difficult. It might be the most difficult in the world?

In America it is easy. It’s easy to do it in the suburbs with a real car.

Driving schools’ students are getting fewer and fewer.

In ten years where autonomous driving is a common thing, you may not be able to get a license.

Driving schools have a lot of land, so it should be easy to change industries.

It seems that there are thoughts about converting the land into nursery schools and nursing care facilities.

Will the driving schoolteacher become a shuttle car driver?

However, will not the number of nursing care facilities and nursery schools will decrease after five years?

With a shrinking population there is also a shrinking market, making it a difficult road to survive in Japanese society.

It will be a time of constant restructuring, which is difficult to find a job.

Creation of a new occupational area.

That is the management of Koyama.
