Ginza Koyama daily journal 2022.06.16 95th anniversary

July 1st next year will be the 40th anniversary of the birth of Koyama Group.

At the same time, August 20th next year will be the 95th anniversary of the birth of the late President Koyama Seidou.

I wish he were still alive.

It’s been three years since I lost my father.

Meanwhile, the world changed with the invasion of Corona.

Koyama group also has changed.

I am glad that my father passed without knowing the hardships of Corona.

Sometimes I wonder what he would think if he were still alive?

How medical care should be, how the Koyama Group should respond.

As chairman, as a doctor, as a father.

Respecting his father’s last will, I decided not to hold a ceremony, but as a company, hand out souvenirs to the staff instead.

First, the 40th anniversary bottle of shochu (made from potatoes), which is brewed every year.

We asked the Nakatani consultant for the design.

The contents of the shochu are as usual: honey and potatoes that are grown/harvested on Ginza headquarters rooftop.

After that, at a facility completion ceremony, a special Mashikoyaki (brand name) cup were distributed to the staff.

15,000 sets were prepared.

On the 10th and 20th anniversary gifts were ballpoint pens and watches.

In addition, we are also preparing a 40th anniversary magazine.

From a database, a memorial homepage, will also be opened.

Koyama group that is undergoing management reform, for me every day is long and heavy.

These three years after my father passed away, has been a long battle.

400 days from tomorrow feels like a future far away.

Like 400 rounds of golf.

Koyama is not good at running fast but is talented at walking long distances.

Anyway, at yesterday’s meeting with lawyers and accountants, I decided to make my will into a notarized document.

Koyama group 5.0 is also my preparation for my final days.

This is something I know, but it’s still difficult for me.
