I like to look at architectural photobooks.
Museums, libraries, hotels, schools, even nurseries.
The external can be built by using a computer.
A university library. Glass-walled, bright, almost like a resort hotel.
It looks good for club activities and dates, but I doubt if I could concentrate on reading.
But it’s nice and I understand that the students will use this for gatherings.
Yesterday, I flipped through a special issue of an architectural magazine and saw a nursery school.
It was in the rural countryside, made ground level one storage floor and made of wood flat roof. Children are running around the rooftop terrace.
There is also a nursery garden, where children are raising different vegetables.
Pretty. Idyllic.
The nursery staff at Koyama group are aiming at creating a nutritious food.
Raise your own strawberries and watermelons to enjoy and taste.
Even snacks the children and school staff will enjoy making themselves.
Through gardening you can learn about the different flowers of the four seasons.
Stimulate your senses and feel the four seasons.
That is the design concept of a nursery center in Koyama group.
We have discussed the design concept that embodies this idea.
Now, I look forward to what the designer can create.
